George is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Houston Law Center, where he quickly became interested in appellate law. George competed in numerous moot court competitions and received numerous awards, including the regional championship of the ABA Moot Court Tournament and national quarter-finalist. George was Chief Articles Editor of the Houston Law Review and a member of the Order of the Coif, the Order of the Barristers, and was chief Baron of the Order of the Barons.
Following his interest in appellate law, George sought out a judicial clerkship and was selected to be a briefing attorney for the First Court of Appeals in Houston. After completing his clerkship, George was an associate attorney for the law firm of Harrison, Bettis, Staff, McFarland and Weems, LLP where his primary practice areas were civil appeals and commercial litigation.
George is a member of the appellate section of the Texas and Houston Bar Associations.
